About me

Discover the artist and the reasons that motivated this project

A portrait is not just an image, it is the most beautiful way not to forget.

Esther Fuertes

I am a pastel pet portrait artist with a deeply emotional approach. I pay close attention to every detail with the aim of capturing the unique essence of each animal. Many of my commissions are tributes to pets that have passed away, offering my clients the opportunity to preserve a unique and meaningful memory.

My artistic training combines a self-taught background with studies at the Real Art Academy under artist Patricia Otero, as well as hyperrealist painting workshops led by Paco Martín. I am currently continuing to expand my artistic education by exploring portraiture through specialized workshops taught by artist Antonio Castelló. This ongoing learning process allows me to continually refine my technique and create sensitive portraits full of life, expression, and emotion.

Each artwork is conceived as a lasting keepsake, created with respect, delicacy, and care.

Why did I start this project?

For her.

She is Pandora, my “big cat”, my Bis, the true marquess of the house. In April 2022 she left our lives and, since then, not a single day has passed without me missing her.

It was precisely because of her that I started painting pet portraits: I wanted to develop the necessary skills to be able to portray her one day and give her the special place she will always deserve in our home.

This project not only allows me to remember her with all the affection she continues to awaken in me, but also to offer other people the possibility of keeping a unique and special memory of their most beloved companions.
